In Loving Memory of My Darling Husband
Collectible Treasures Antique and Collectibles was originally started as a personal website, with an online catalog added, to
find new homes for antiques and collectibles, that I acquired
thru both my parents estate, and my grandmother's. I worked
five years on the site, and did quite a bit of selling of many of
the items that I had available. I enjoyed doing that
tremendously, and then in 2007 my husband died, and I just
didn't have the heart to continue working with my site, or my catalog. So now after 4 years of trying to deal with the loss of
my husband, I have returned to my site to review it, and to
see where I might now take it. It is still linked with many of
the interests I had in antiques and collectibles. I am now
offering my online catalog of items with new items to sell,
at this time.
I will be exploring different avenues and different things that
I can redo my site that will offer hopefully interesting things
for any who may find their way here. I hope that all who drop
by will browse the many pages that I have left, and come again
later to see what I have added. Of course this will take time, so
I appreciate everyone's understanding. Drop me a line if you
wish, and any suggestions you might have for me. I would
love hearing from you.
You can still research your antique and collectible items from
within the website's "items we have sold" links. Thank you
for being patient with us during our change over, and
especially for your stopping by and visiting us, and to all
our customers both past and hopefully future we appreciate
you very much.
My darling husband Dale, ( Always Buddy to me and his
family ), passed away Feb. 6, 2007. He had his 62 birthday
on Feb. 3rd, three days before he died. This coming June
we would have celebrated our 42nd anniversary. My life
has totally changed since his death, and will never be the
same again. Words cannot express whats in my heart, so I
won't even try.
My husband was as much a part of this website and it's
creation as I, for he gave me the time to work on it, create it,
and dreamed of my success in all that I desired to do with it.
In honor of my darling who I miss achingly I add the
following.
A nephew gave me a card from him and his wife, at my
husband's funeral. It says almost what my heart cries.
It reads as:
I Am So Sorry for Your Loss
A loved one is a treasure of the heart, and to lose a loved
one is like losing a piece of yourself. But the love that
this person brought you did not leave, for the essence of
the soul lingers. It cannot escape your heart, for it has
been there forever.
Cling to the memories and let them find their way to heal
you. The love and laughter, the joy in the togetherness
you shared, will make you strong. You'll come to realize
that your time together, no matter how long, was meant to
be, and that you were blessed to have such a precious gift
of love in your life.
Keep your heart beating with the loving memories, and
trust in your faith to guide you through. Know that
though life moves on, the beauty of love stays behind to
surround and embrace you. Your loved one has left you
that... to hold in your heart forever.
( by Debbie Burton-Peddle)
My husband was treasured and I always teased him, that
I loved him more, much more. His deepest desire was to
live here on earth with me for as long as he could, and he
fought to do just that. I keep telling myself that things
are not as they seem, that my husband and I were
victorious in our faith, that God did heal him, and he did,
for he is with his Lord now, whole and sound, and
wouldn't want to come back here now, even though he
loves me, for anything. He is well, and he's not lost to me,
for I know full well where he is and who he is with.
To my darling husband I love you now as always, and
though my life seems so empty without you here by my
side, our life together was precious, and treasured by
me. You are missed so very much. And as you always
called me, The Wife, The Wife says to you, I love you
more, much more.

Buddy's brother Abby and Mary, who will love her and
treat her like a little princess. I must now find a home for
the boys, Little Diamond and Dimaond Duke. I cannot
give away our Diamond Eye or our Sapphire Lady.
Little Diamond and Diamond Duke, were taken by a
lovely lady and her family, to give them a home together
and breed them with their female Jack Russell,
Sept. 21, 2007.
I now only have the daddy and mother of these, the
sweetest and most loving little Jack Russell's. I pray they
stay safe, well and will be taken the best of care for the rest
of their life. They gave me and my husband many many
days of laughter and joy. They are beautiful and I will
miss them each.
![]() A Note To All Who Visit my site. Please bear with me if
delays occur in checking my email. I try to make myself
do that at least every couple of days, for my website, my
visitors, my customers, are important to me, as they were
to my husband who helped me by giving me his love and
support, in the creation of my site. He enjoyed hearing me
tell him of emails I received, orders that I had received for
things that were special to me, a desire I always had to find
the things I offer in my online catalog, a new and loving
home.
My heart is not so full of the joy or excitement I had in
starting my quest to find a new home for the treasures I
have, not now, but my loyalty to my visitors and my
customers is as always strong to them. I will do my best
and try to continue as my husband would want me to. I
just have many more things that I also must do and
accomplish for him, for me. Please to all who it means
anything to, to all who are believers in Christ, my dear
brother and sisters, please remember me in your prayers.
Linda
