As the photographs were being added to the site, to shorten download
time, I decided to do additional pages for viewing of Diamond Eye
and Sapphire Ladys Babies. To view just click the links above, or at
the end of the photographs.
The babies were born August 16, 2004 starting at about 6:00 pm and
finishing at around 8:00 pm. Saffy is a fine little mother, and doing
well. The babies are adorable and growing each day. I am including a
few photos and will add more as they continue to grow and develope
into young little puppies. Diamond Eye is a proud father, and trying
to accept all the attention that Saffy is now getting and of course
needing at present. Saffy being a little mother now is doing what
she is suppose to do, and not to very interested in Diamond at this
time.! No more playing around with Diamond, she is too busy
tending to his two little boys and one little girl.
We are proud of Saffy, to be as pampered and babied as she has been
since bringing her into our home, she has adapted to motherhood
quite well, even though at times she still needs that cuddling time
with us, she immediately goes to her babies when they whimper
or cry out.
 Diamond Eye, the Daddy, with his head on the white pillow,
Diamond Duke our little adventurer, behind his daddy, Sapphire
Lady in bottom front with Shortcake on the little stuffed dog
behind Mama, and Little Diamond off to himself in the upper
right of the photograph, all in our bed. Believe me it is good to
have a custom bed that is greater than king size in our room..!
And the babies are not full grown yet, but of course even though
the boys are bigger than their Mama, I don't think they will get
any larger than our Diamond Eye is. Soon we will have to tend
to getting Sapphire Lady "fixed" even though we have already
gotten our Diamond Eye taken care of, because of the boys,
which we do not want to get "fixed". Of course Shortcake will
have to be taken care of in a few months as well, so that she will
be safe from the boys when they get grown. I didn't want to do
that to either of them, but since we are keeping them together
as the family, I will have to in order that we ensure there is no in
breeding among them. This has tended to be quite an expense
to us, but we do not regret the decision to keep these little
darlings, which each have become so much a part of our family.
 In this photograph you can see how much bigger already at little
over five months Diamond Duke is, than his mother Sapphire Lady.
 Diamond Duke and his brother Little Diamond. They tend to stay
pretty close most of the time, especially when sleeping.
 Little Diamond, all snuggled and warm in our bed. He is a beaut.!
 Shortcake, Diamond Eye, and Sapphire Lady with a stuffed dog that
I got for my husband on Valentine's day a couple of years ago. You
press it's ear and it does a little back shake and sings. Here the three
is trying to figure out what the heck is going on, while off in the
background Little Diamond and Diamond Duke stay close to my
husband as they aren't sure whether to even come close to it.
Shortcake on the other hand is not backwards about approaching
anything.!
 Sapphire Lady with my husband Dale. Saffy has really became quite
attention demanding since she has become a mother. She is
especially so if the babies are getting any attention from us, or if
she gets nervous over anything. She still sits up and begs, just like
she did when we first brought her home a little over a year ago.
That always seems to get her, her way..!

 Sapphire Lady is being teased and played with by Little Diamond
and Diamond Duke is trying to avoid the action.! all in the chair my
husband is sitting in.! Sometimes the babies do give Saffy quite a time,
and she escapes by going to my computer room where the little ones
are not allowed.

Duke is trying to get some attention as well.
 Misty our beautiful cat, and Diamond Eye with the two boys, Diamond
Duke and Little Diamond, all snoozing away on the loveseat with Misty
watching over them.! Misty is not afraid of the little ones, even though
they all gang together and want to play with her at times, she just simply
goes to another spot, or growls at them till they go to another area and
leave her alone. Sometimes when they get a little to excited I have to
let them know that Misty is to be left alone. Shortcake especially,
likes to bark at Misty trying to get her to play, but of course Misty is
not going to play with them.
Misty thinks she is doing well by just putting up with them. I really do
think Misty enjoys watching the group play tug with their toys, and
run after each other, as long as they leave her alone. We do watch
them most carefully with Misty, as we do not intend harm to come to
our little cat. We have had Misty almost 10 years or coming close to
it, and we love her dearly. She is absolutely no problem what ever.

as well as Sapphire Lady while they are sleeping on the loveseat.

Shortcake is really hard to get a photograph of as her face is so dark in
certain light. She is becoming lighter in a few areas around her eyes as
she gets older. But she is beautiful when I can get the right background
for her, and her color is a really a pink. She shines in pink..!
I will post more pictures in the next few weeks, as our little darlings
continue to grow.
