Our Family
Collectible Treasures Antique and Collectibles was originally
started as a personal website, with an online catalog added,
to find new homes for antiques and collectibles, that I acquired
thru both my parents estate, and my grandmother's. I worked
five years on the site, and did quite a bit of selling of many of
the items that I had available. I enjoyed doing that
tremendously, and then in 2007 my husband died, and I just
didn't have the heart to continue working with my site, or my
catalog. So now after 2 years of trying to deal with the loss
of my husband, I have returned to my site to review it, and to
see where I might now take it. It is still linked with many of
the interests I had in antiques and collectibles, but I am not
offering an online catalog of items to sell, at this time. But
maybe in the future I will once again offer items for sell.
I will be exploring different avenues and different things that I
can redo my site that will offer hopefully interesting things for
any who may find their way here. I hope that all who drop by
will browse the many pages that I have left, and come again
later to see what I have added. Of course this will take time,
so I appreciate everyone's understanding. Drop me a line if
you wish, and any suggestions you might have for me. I
would love hearing from you.
You can still research your antique and collectible items
from within the website's "items we have sold" links. Thank
you for being patient with us during our change over, and
especially for your stopping by and visiting us, and to all
our customers both past and hopefully future we appreciate
you very much.
Below are photo's of our family and our fishing adventures at
Brigdoon. You are welcome to continue visiting with us.
Our Daughter, One of the Coaches for this little winning Team..!
Ann Our Daughter, is the 3rd person in the top row, either left or
right in the top row. She is very active in school programs, and
has as well as her husband Ray, coached their own teams for a
few years now. The above photo is from a local newspapers write
up of the: Norwood Braves Major T-Ball team and has the following story....
Norwood Takes First..! The Norwood Braves Major T-Ball team
came in first place in the Tri-County League in 7-8 age-group play. Norwood compiled a fine 13-1 record. Team members include, front
row from left, Hope Jenkins, C.J. Newport, Kayla Busby, Sierra Roy
and Ryan Cowan. Middle, Raichel Snellings, Rebecca Morgan,
Brittany Kellison, Shawn Wright, Destiny Tinker and Tyler Beeler.
Back, coach Jimmy Morgan, coach Scott Kellison, coach Ann Robinson (our daughter), coach Jeff Cowan and coach Ray Tinker.
As reported by the OakRidger Newspaper.
Our daughter Ann really enjoys working with young children, and
stays very active in groups and programs, as well as seeing that
her children are active in school and community activies, as well
as with their friends. We don't see much of her as she stays so
busy, but she keeps in touch, and stops by as often as time allows
her to do so. When her Daddy, my husband, Dale, had to have
open heart surgery in Jan. 2003, Ann did all she could to help her
Daddy, and be there for him, even with all her other activities, and
family responsibilities. We are very proud of her, as well as our
Son Willy, and of course all our beautiful grand-children.
Our Daughter Ann. Special and sweet. Bud my husband, and Linda Ruth his sister. Taken at Lake Rudolph Resort, in Santa Clause, IN, where my husband's family meets each year for their family re-union. Linda
(she hates the name of Ruth!), is helping her brother set up his
satalite. She calls me a wimp, for many reasons!, and I tend to
agree on some things, that I am.
This lady can do anything and everything she sets herself to do.
There seems to be no job, or challenge that she can't do, or won't
at least attempt to do. Like driving the biggest motorhome they
make, (she can keep up with any of the big rigs out there..!) and
do it on any road!, or do her own hook-ups at the camp sites,
change a tire, drive all around the country. Her dear husband Rick,
just relaxes and leaves the driving to her. Me, I get lost in my own familar territory..! This little lady is much to be admired, and loves
her family with a passion...!
Rick, Linda Ruth's Husband. A quite, friendly and kind man. Loves his wife and family, and enjoys leaving the driving
to Linda..!
wife Mary. A wonderful couple, and great family members. They
come visit us here in Tennessee on their way to their summer
home in Fla. We enjoy seeing them very much. This picture was
taken at the family re-union last year, at Lake Rudolph Resort, in
Santa Clause, In. The Parker Re-union is held there each year.
Mary, Abby, and Linda Ruth are the main, ( I guess you would say,
or leader's) of the family re-union. Linda Ruth handles all the details
of notifying the family each year, as well as the details of the
big day's dinner and such. When you think about it, gathering a
number of people to a certain place, at a certain time, on a certain
day, and seeing that everything is prepared for it, that in itself is an accomplishment..!
Ma, (my grand-mother, my mother's mother) Hattie. This woman is the dearest woman to me. She delivered me at birth,
when I was born on top of Windrock Mountain, 58 years ago, the
doctor was late getting up there, and my grandmother delivered me.
She said I actually took care of that myself, for at the time my older
brother Dickie, had to be seen to, because he lost his breath, ( he
did that I guess when he cried), and the woman that was with my
grandmother was in a lock hold around her neck by my mother..!
so there was no one available to hold me as I arrived in the world.
My grandmother got to me as quickly as she could leave my
brother, and she said I was as tiny as could be, and looked like a
little mouse..! She gave me my middle name, Carol. She has
always been there for me, as well as my parents, but Ma
understood me, Knew when things were troubling me, even without
my having to tell her. She loved me, just as I am. I have wonderful memories of my Ma, and she will forever be dear to me. She and
my husband's mother, Irene, were in many ways alot alike. They
were both strong women, who were independent, and strong in
tough times.
Bud (my husband), me, and Olivia (front left) with Hannah (front right). Our grand daughters by our Son Willy.
Our Son William, (Willy to me..!) Quite a young man, indeed. Loves his girls and new baby son devotedly. We don't get
to see much of Willy, but we understand that with a family, work,
and other interests, it's sometimes hard to get around to just
visiting parents.
